Slow Down on CON streets

7/18/13:   A note from CON President, Kim Shockey:

Hello CON residents!  I want to ask everyone to be mindful of their speed in the neighborhood. I know that our streets are wide and sometimes it can be easy to forget that we need to slow down. We have many children who play outside, residents who walk, and pets who are out with their owners. Let's keep CON safe for everyone!   If you know of or see anyone who is traveling above the speed limit, please ask them to slow down!   Thank you everyone for all of your support!
Water Providers:  "Thank You!"
The CON HOA board wishes to express our appreciation to Dan McAllister, Eric Valera, and Connie Corey for providing  water for landscaping at no charge in 2012.   We had new trees and shrubs on the berm alongside Fire Tower road that required water to survive.  Our contract landscaper used the outside water spigot from these three homes to supply the needed water.  We used a meter to measure the water used and offered reimbursement, but each person declined.  Thank you for helping beautify our neighborhood with your donation of water!

January 2013:

New President & Vice-President of CON HOA

In the annual membership meeting held on October 14, 2013, a slate of officers was approved but the office of President was vacant.  In the first quarterly meeting of the new Cherry Oaks Board of Directors on January 7th, the Board addressed this vacancy by voting in Vice-President Kim Shockey as President and Director Nancy Astorino as Vice-President.  The HOA bylaws allows for the Board to fill vacancies in this manner.  Kim has lots of new ideas for the HOA and the Board looks forward to working with her in 2013.

Director Nancy Astorino is now in the dual role of being both Vice-President and a Director.  However, the Director role can easily be given to another HOA member that would like to serve on the board and learn how our Association works.  If anyone would like to learn more about this and possibly join our board, please contact any board member from the "Officers" page or send an email on the "Contact" page.

Yard Sale Date Set

The annual CON yard sale date has been set.  It will be on Saturday, May 18, 2013.  Mark you calendars now and more information will be provided as the date gets closer.
